FISHING   FAMILY GET-TOGETHERS AND VACATIONS

I enjoy staying at the Indian Creek Lodge because of the friendly, helpful people, family atmosphere and the tranquil setting.  It's more like staying with a friend than at a motel."

"Great fishing lodge. Clean rooms, all freshly remodeled. Owner and all of staff certainly went above and beyond the call of duty!  They went out of their way to make sure my wife and I were comfortable--it's hard to find this kind of service anymore.  There's great fishing right in back of lodge. We certainly will be returning soon!  Ask John for anything and I'm sure he'll do his best to accommodate. Great rates too!"

"The rooms at Indian Creek lodge are very comfortable, clean and spacious.  The kitchen units make it easy to have a nice meal, go to bed, and be ready to fish in the morning.  John definitely will go the extra mile for his guests."

"I really enjoyed my stay at Indian Creek Lodge.  It is clean, very comfortable and relaxing, and priced right. It is very convenient to some of the best steelhead and salmon fishing in the Northwest.  I really couldn't ask for more and I am looking forward to my next trip."

"I fish the Upper Trinity a lot and I've been wanting to stay at the Indian Creek Lodge for years, but was always put off by the "quaintness" of the rooms.  Now, it has undergone a transformation under its new ownership.  The Lodge is right on the river with great views and great fishing, and the rooms are very comfortable and clean.  The owners are super friendly and helpful.  I'll be back soon."

"Many thanks to you and the staff for a great stay at Indian Creek Lodge.  Clean rooms with great fishing walking distance from the lodge and of course great people who make you feel right at home.  I look forward to seeing you folks again very soon.  It is never more true when one says it's the people that bring you back (along with the fishing) and I will definitely be back. Keep up the great work."

"I have been coming up to the Indian Creek Lodge for the past 10 years to fly fish for steelhead.  2009 is the first year under the new ownership and management of John and Elena and I must say, what an improvement over past years. The accommodations are functional and a great value and I hope to be coming back for years to come."

"For the past 10 years, whenever I fish the Trinity, I stay at Indian Creek Lodge.  You cannot beat the location.  Within the past year, the rooms have been spruced up and it’s never been better managed.  It’s my home away from home when I’m on the river."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Indian Creek Lodge . . . John put us onto some beautiful steelhead . .  . and guests were landing fish on the river directly behind the resort.  The rooms were clean, warm and well maintained and the kitchenette in our room was perfect for preparing dinner and breakfast . . . .  The boat ramp behind the resort was great for launching drift boats . . . .  However, what will really keep me coming back was John's hospitality.  He went out of his way to extend himself to his guests, even allowing me to use his dryer for my gear after taking an accidental splash into the river.  First class hospitality, wonderful riverfront accommodations and great local knowledge, what more can you ask for?"

"I have stayed at the Indian Creek Lodge on my last two trips to the Trinity River. I had a very favorable experience each time. The location is perfect for fishing the Upper Trinity; the staff is very helpful and friendly and they treat you like family. The rooms have all been refurbished and are very clean/quiet and even have WI-FI in the rooms. The new management team is working hard to give you a great experience, although catching fish is your job."

"John, thank you very much for a wonderful stay at the Indian Creek Lodge!  The accommodations were excellent and I would come back in a heartbeat.  The large room was perfect for our group and after a full day on the river, it felt like coming back to a home rather than a motel.  I look forward to returning again soon."

"We had a great time staying at your lodge. You went out of your way to make sure we had a great stay and then some. Here is a picture of one of the Steelies I caught in Lewis ton (my brother and his friend didn't catch one, because they were too busy netting my fish all weekend!) I hope the lodge works out for you, because you guys are doing everything right!"

"The prime location of Indian Creek Lodge is noteworthy, but the warm welcome my Dad and I received from John and his crew during last Fall's annual steelhead pilgrimage was exceptional. Nice to enjoy the recent updates to the housekeeping rooms.  Please pencil us in for a housekeeping room November 26, 27, and 28 2010."

"Indian Creek Lodge is a perfect location for winter steelheading. While I often use the launch for put-in or take-out of my pontoon boat, it’s also a great place to meet your guide. The Indian Creek area of the Trinity often holds nice steelhead and browns. With each visit there seems to be a new surprise upgrade or improvement to the lodge. The hosts are very accommodating and helpful."

"John and Elena, thank you again for a wonderful time and warm hospitality.  You truly go above and beyond in service and care, and make my stay feel like I am at a second home.  I've been staying at Indian Creek for a few years and have enjoyed the transformation that the both of you have brought. You have earned new loyal customers with each friend that I have brought up fishing and I am always looking forward to my next visit with you. "

"I thoroughly enjoyed our last stay at the Indian Creek Lodge and find it the ideal place on the river to stay for our fishing needs. The staff are more than pleasant and with the river being in the back yard makes it a perfect spot for us."

"Many years ago I finished up a fishing trip at the mouth of Indian Creek and stayed overnight at Indian Creek Lodge. I fell in love with the Lodge's history and beautiful setting and I have stayed there ever since. The Lodge feels like a throwback to by-gone days when the innkeeper knew your name and treated you like a friend. I spend time each fall and winter at the Lodge to fish the Trinity River, which has its own special magic. Many times after fishing my friends and I use the outdoor barbeques, and other guest do the same. Usually everyone has a great story to share about their day on the river. I attribute many of my fondest memories on the Trinity to Indian Creek Lodge. I think you will too."

"As a weekend warrior my past fishing trips to the Trinity River have consisted of summer overnights in the dirt and very long day trips in the winter.  A few weeks ago I decided to treat myself to a room at the Indian Creek Lodge. My first impression was of an upscale fishing lodge in Montana with its welcoming statue of a steelhead illuminated at 11:30 at night--a nice touch.  There are many reasons why this place is great for fishermen, and here's a short list: 1) It's affordable compared to motels in the area (these motels are 8 miles away from the Trinity, Indian Creek Lodge is ON the Trinity) 2) John (the owner) loaned me a glass from his house for my evening whiskey 3) There's a bench in front of every room to take boots and waders off, and hooks to hang them 4) Modern TVs and satellite programming 5) Private parking right in front of the rooms 6) Relaxing accommodations.  Indian Creek Lodge has definitely become my home on the Trinity!"

"We have stayed at the Indian Creek Lodge for several years and made it our home base for our summer vacation.  The Lewiston Area is a solid reminder of where I grew up in Oregon and the Lodge fits right in with those memories.  It also is a reminder of the places we have stayed while touring New Zealand.  We particularly enjoy the fact that when we stay there, we have our own kitchen and patio, and the fact that our dog can roam and romp around in the pasture between the lodge and the Trinity River just a few hundred feet away.  And, the swimming pool is great on those hot summer afternoons.  But, perhaps the greatest thing is that we feel at home--like we have staked a claim and the place is ours."

"Spending a week at the Indian Creek Lodge during summer vacation has been a family tradition for the past 10 years. We enjoy going down to the river exploring, fishing, picking blue berries, drifting down the river in our dingy, reading or just soaking up the beauty. We like taking trips into downtown Weaverville visiting the antique shops, the museum, the old movie house and the used book store and then coming back to the lodge and spending lazy afternoons swimming in the pool, reading, and playing cards or board games while we grill burgers on the bbq. The beauty and serenity offered at the Indian Creek Lodge is unparalleled!"

"Our stay at the lodge was was comfortable and enjoyable.  (12/17-22).  Catching lots of steelhead was an extra plus.  We liked the layout of your place with the easy in and out pulling a trailer and appreciate the parking space for dropping off the boat. Our room (2 beds & kitchenette) was a pleasant surprise in that we expected cramped quarters, instead had plenty of space for our gear and the beds were very comfortable. Next visit we will take advantage of the outdoor grill also. The Indian Creek Lodge is perfect for fishing & hunting, and my family/friends and I will take advantage of it from now on."

"On a recent trip to Eureka, we spent a night at the Indian Creek Lodge, right on the Trinity River outside of Douglas City.  Both the bedroom and bathroom were clean and spacious, and the room was decorated with nice touches, such as wood paneling and a pretty wooden armoire, housing the modern flat screen TV.  A small refrigerator and a microwave were also available.  The location right next to the river was lovely.  We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back."

"We have made Indian Creek Lodge a holiday tradition for the past couple of years. The new owners have done a wonderful job of updating the rooms and making you feel at home. With our two Brittany Spaniels in tow, we all enjoy the spacious river front property and convenient private boat launch where we have access to some of the best fly fishing. We will be back again next year looking for the “New Year” party in downtown Weaverville."

"I've been staying at the Indian Creek Lodge for years and the price, location and rooms are great. It's nice to come back to a spacious, clean room to relax after a long day on the river."

"Thank you for the great hospitality & access to the great fishing right behind the lodge.  I've been guiding the Northern California rivers for a number of years now and the Indian Creek Lodge beats them all for clean, comfortable lodging on a world class river.  With a launch right on the property I save driving time and fishing time.   The owners are professional, and the hospitality is outstanding."

BUSINESS TRAVEL

"We spent almost four months at Indian Creek Lodge, while working in the area during the summer of 2009, and have nothing but good things to say about how we were treated. The surroundings were beautiful, the accommodations were great, the hospitality was exceptional, and the fishing was an added bonus. John and Elena treated us like family. It was nice to come home from a long day of work and relax in the air conditioned rooms overlooking the river and even sneak in a cast or two before dark. The large brown trout and steelhead were a blast. I highly recommend staying with these good people whether for work or play or both!"

"John, I thought I would drop you a line to tell you how much I enjoyed staying at your lodge for a few weeks while we were working for on the lumber mill in Weaverville. It started with you coming out to greet us when we arrived, to you and your wife's hospitality while we were there, not to mention the beautiful river and scenery surrounding your place. Thanks again."
